Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts will host an evening of music, followed by a night of comedy during HarborFest weekend.
The Complete Unknowns will kick-off HarborFest festivities during a concert on Friday, September 7 at 8 p.m. and on Saturday, September 8 at 8 p.m., Bay Street’s All Star Stand Up Comedy will return with an all new show.
“We are pleased to present an night of Dylan music with The Complete Unknowns and an all new All Star Stand-Up show to celebrate HarborFest weekend,” shared Tracy Mitchell, Bay Street Theater’s Executive Director.
The Complete Unknowns cover and celebrate the music of Bob Dylan, showcasing his expansive, six-decade career. Lead singer Michael Weiskopf learned to play guitar and started writing songs as a young kid and only just returned to it in his sixties. He says music is language and it was never enough to just listen.
Players Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper, Rick Danko, Robbie Robertson, Russ Kunkel, Levon Helm and Michael Weiskopf are on a mission to preserve the integrity of Dylan’s work whilst entertaining and keeping it fresh.
The All Star Stand Up Comedy show will feature some of New York’s hottest comics, including Dan Perlman of That’s My Bus, Vidiots, and StarTalk RadioArmy Wives and Gotham Comedy Live!Best Week Ever and NYC Crime Report with Pat Dixon.
Perlman, who is based in New York City, was recently named one of 2018 New Faces in Stand Up at Montreal Just For Laughs and headlined at Caroline’s on Broadway. His stand up credentials include New York Comedy Festival, SK Sketchfest, Boston Comedy Fest, Limestone Comedy Fest and Finger Lakes Comedy Competition.
Temple is originally from Philadelphia and now lives on the road doing comedy. Leaving behind a promising career, he is pursuing his dreams as the funny man. He previously worked as a MetLife insurance salesman, Citizens Bank Banker, and IT Software/Hardware Salesman.
Dixon lives and works in New York City. On top of his comedian title, his is also a podcaster and journalist. He is best known for his creation, NYC Crime Report and has recently been added to the Compound Media Network of Podcasts and comedians.
“We’re so happy to have this weekend’s talented musicians and comedians returning to Bay Street,” Mitchell added.
