“Most everyone has access to a camera, so this is an opportunity for kids to share their creativity,” said Tracy Kolsin, Assistant Youth Bureau Director of Town of Southampton. “In the end its not who wins but it’s an opportunity for everyone in the community to see how creative and talented many of our youth can be.”
Southampton Youth Bureau is inviting middle and high school students who attend school or live within the township to show off their artistic abilities during the Bureau’s photography contest. This year’s theme pays tribute to the 375th Anniversary of Southampton Town. Artists can submit up to three photos, which can be in black and white, color, or digitally re-mastered.
All entries must be submitted by Friday, May 8th. The first place winner will receive a $50 gift card, second place a $25 gift card, and third place will receive a beautiful photo frame. The top three photos will be showcased in Town Hall during the month of June and also be featured during the Parrish Art Museum’s student exhibit in February 2016.
Photographs can be sent to Southampton Youth Bureau Photography Contest (116 Hampton Road, Southampton NY 11968) or emailed to [email protected].
