Additional Opportunities To Enjoy The Sounds Of The Season In The Hamptons

Whether you want to experience a traditional holiday concert, or something a little more unconventional, here's this weekend's seasonal sounds.

Peconic Landing Community Center (1500 Brecknock Road, Greenport, peconiclanding.com) will host Harbor Bells, a Community Bell Choir based out of Sag Harbor, on Friday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. The English Bell Choir, directed by Valarie Bellz, will delight the audience with festive tunes including Good King Wenceslas, Joy to the World, Jingle Bells, It came upon the Midnight Clear, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and We Three Kings. Admission is free, but reservations are required. Additionally, Southampton native Darren Ottati, along with artists Jenifer DeMeo, Amanda Kuchinski, Ralph DAmbroses, Shannon DuPuis, and their five-piece band, will perform during Holiday Extravaganza: Celebrating The Holidays In Music And Song on Saturday, December 16 at 2 p.m. Admission is free, but reservations are required.

Suffolk Theater (118 East Main Street, Riverhead, www.suffolktheater.com) is all about the holiday programming this weekend. Billy Joel's original band The Lords of 52nd Street will perform the Piano Man classics that they recorded with Joel back in the 70s and 80s, mixed in with some holiday tunes, on Friday, December 15 at 8 p.m. Sun Records recording artist - Jason D. Williams and Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks are taking center stage during WLNG's Rockabilly Christmas. Prentiss McNeill will make a special guest appearance during the "rockin' way to celebrate the holidays." Sunday, December 17 will feature It's a Wonderful Life- A Live Radio Play at 6 p.m. Tickets to the three events range from $15 to $49.

The East End's Sarah Conway is headlining the Revel In Your Spirits Xmas Show at the Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, Amagansett, stephentalkhouse.com) on Friday, December 15 at 8 p.m. The evening will feature a "great collection of little known gems of Christmas songs - rock, country, blues, gospel." Admission is $15.

Still the Greatest Story Ever Told, a Glorification Singers Christmas Concert, will take place at Westhampton Community Church (116 Montauk Highway, Westhampton) on Saturday, December 16 at 7 p.m.

The Sag Harbor Community Band and the Long Island Sound Chorus of Sweet Adelines' annual joint Holiday Concert at Old Whalers Church (44 Union Street, Sag Harbor, www.facebook.com) will take place on Saturday, December 16 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and there will be refreshments after the performance.

A Rockin' Around the Holidays Concert with Nina Et cetera band is coming to the Hampton Bays Public Library (52 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays, hamptonbayslibrary.org) on Sunday, December 17 at 2 p.m. Nina and company will take classic holiday songs and bring them into the 21st century. Attendees will be treated to beloved hits from Johnny Cash, Elvis, Brenda Lee, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry.

Cantabile Youth Chorus of The Hamptons - led by director, pianist, vocalist Loreen Enrigh - will be featured in a Candlelight Christmas Concert at Greek Orthodox Church of The Hamptons (111 Street Andrews Road, Southampton) on Sunday, December 17 at 4 p.m. Admission is $15 and proceeds will support Sandcastle Music scholarships for young East End musicians.

Harbor Bells is also presenting a Christmas Concert at St Andrews Catholic Church (122 Division Street, Sag Harbor, www.facebook.com) on Sunday, December 17 at 4 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a donation for the Food Pantry.
