Quogue Library (90 Quogue Street, Quogue, www.quoguelibrary.org) is hosting a Holiday Family Concert and Hot Chocolate Hour on Saturday, December 9 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. The afternoon will include homemade hot chocolate with Miss Starlight, which can be garnished with sweets from the Library’s hot chocolate bar and music from Marlene Markard, founder of Markard Music. The Library will also host a Family Carol Sing and Cookie Swap Event on Sunday, December 10 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Commemorate World Choral Day with Musician Sheree Elder who will lead attendees in three part harmony. The event will also include hot cider and cookies, and guests can bring their own homemade cookies with recipes to share.
A Holiday Jazz Concert at Canio’s (290 Main Street, Sag Harbor, canios.wordpress.com) will take place on Saturday, December 9 at 5 p.m. Jazz bassist Steve Shaughnessy and a special guest will dazzle the audience with standards and holiday favorites.
The Old Whalers’ bell choir, Old Whalers’ and Fighting Chance choirs and guest artists Sue Vinski, soprano, Douglas Sabo, tenor, the East End Recorder Ensemble, and organist Dominick Abbate will enchant East Enders during a “Home For Christmas” Concert at Old Whalers’ Church (44 Union Street, Sag Harbor, www.oldwhalerschurch.org) on Saturday, December 9 from 5 to 6:15 p.m.
Darren Ottati and other talented vocalists from the Hampton Bays community are teaming up for the Hampton Bays Rotary Club’s Holiday Harmonies on Saturday, December 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. Taking place at the Hampton Bays High School (HBHS) Auditorium (88 Argonne Road East, Hampton Bays, www.hamptonbaysrotary.org), attendees will enjoy holiday favorites and a few surprises. Admission ranges from $15 to $30 and proceeds will support the Performing Arts Department of HBHS and the new Rosemary Schofield Performing Arts Scholarship.
Bay Street Theater (1 Bay Street, Sag Harbor, baystreet.com) is hosting A Rockin’ Holiday Dance with the HooDoo Loungers and Joe Delia & Thieves, complete with classic holiday clips featuring the greats like Bing Crosby and Dean Martin, on Saturday, December 9 at 8 p.m. Admission is $25.
Peconic Landing Community Center (1500 Brecknock Road, Greenport, peconiclanding.com) will present A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play on Sunday, December 10 at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
14th Annual Festival of Lessons and Carols will take place at the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts (168 Hill Street, Southampton) on Sunday, December 10 at 3 p.m. The performance features choirs, musicians and a strings ensemble.
First Presbyterian Church (2 South Main Street, Southampton) is presenting a Christmas program presented by the Church’s choral and handbell choirs on Sunday, December 10 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
