The Johansen-Markard Piano Duo is spreading seasonal cheer throughout the Hamptons during a mini holiday tour that will take the talented duo to the Montauk Library, Guild Hall and the Old Whalers’ Church.
“Ellen Johansen and I (the “Johansen-Markard Piano Duo”) will be performing holiday concerts, featuring old and new holiday classics and winter favorites, arranged for four-hands,” shared Marlene Markard. “Works will include Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Carol of the Bells, Christmas Time is Here, Believe, Joy to the World, selections from The Nutcracker Suite, and a Sleigh Ride Fantasy, followed by a fun audience sing-along played by Ellen Johansen and led by myself.”
The seasonal showcase will debut with a complimentary show at the Montauk Library (871 Montauk Highway, Montauk) on Sunday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. The joyous festivities will continue at Guild Hall (158 Main Street, East Hampton) during JDT Lab: A Christmas Sing-Along and Musicale on Tuesday, December 12. Admission is free and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Additionally, a $27 2-course Prix Fixe special (you can pick either an appetizer and main dish or main and dessert) will be available for concertgoers at The 1770 House in East Hampton (you must mention the code JDTLab when making your reservation and the offer is good only prior to the performance). The final merriment will take place at the Old Whalers’ Church (44 Union Street, Sag Harbor) on Sunday, December 17 at 3 p.m. Admission is $20 at the door.
