"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with GE Smith and Taylor Barton-Smith to showcase some truly amazing and accomplished artists and expose some surprising revelations about their talents," shared
Gary Hygom, Producer at
Bay Street Theater. "This will prove to be three evenings of extraordinary music and offer a window into the musical gifts of those not usually associated with that art form."
GE Smith has performed with Hall and Oates,
Bob Dylan, Roger Waters and many other iconic musicians, but is perhaps best known for his time as the leader of the "Saturday Night Live" ("SNL") band from 1985 to 1995. While at "SNL," the world-renowned guitarist would shock the audience by bringing musical talent on stage to perform, unannounced. Surprise "SNL" cameos included Eddie Van Halen,
Eric Clapton, Lonnie Mack, Dave Edmonds, Johnny Winter, and
Buddy Guy, whose visit resulted in Smith's 1996 Grammy-nominated "Buddy Guy - Live CD, with GE and the 'SNL' band."
The series debuted on Saturday, October 17th with
Dan Rizzie, Ralph Gibson and
Carter Burwell. On Friday, October 30th, Smith will welcome Roger Waters of Pink Floyd. The concerts will conclude on Saturday, November 7th with
Ethan Hawke, who can currently be seen as jazz legend Chet Baker in "Born to Be Blue."

"I am very excited to be co-producing with Taylor-Barton Smith to bring GE back to our stage presenting a series of three evenings that will offer up some of the most accomplished artists in varied fields to make music in such a wonderful intimate setting," noted Hygom.
Tickets begin at $35.

Guest (DWR) from Shelter Island says::
I strongly urge you not to have Roger Waters perform in Sag Harbor. He is an avowed anti-semite and a hater. Poor choice. So many great musicians too choose from.....but not him.
