After the bleak year that was 2020, now that things are finally starting to look up, the theme of Southampton Artists Association’s (SAA) Spring Art Exhibit, Hope Blooms, is quite fitting.
The Spring Art Exhibit and Sale will debut at The Levitas Center For The Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center on Wednesday, April 7 and remain on view through Sunday, May 2.
Hope Blooms will highlight more than 100 pieces from local East End artists, including acrylics, oils, mixed media, sculptures and photography.
Unlike the winter SAA exhibition, the spring iteration will have a Meet The Artists Reception, which will be held on Saturday, April 17 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have a reception. Most of the participating artists will be on hand to answer questions about their work,” shared Paul Dempsey, Southampton Artists Association Vice President. “Hope blooms, indeed.”
Participating artists include Ian Carson, Gerry Giliberti, James Slezak, Wilhelmina Howe, Joanna McCarthy, Eleanore O’Sullivan, Susanne Corbelletta, Sophie Sejourne, Linda Nemeth, Ava Rado-Harte, Katherine Milliken, Ann Legere, Victoria Hartman, Pamela Thomson, Jo Ann Corretti, Frank Sofo, Barbara Bilotta, Maryanne Renz, James McGarvey, Katherine Liepe-Levison, Pamela Vosson, Marie Lombardi, Karin Osti, Henry Mangels, Dom Lamontanaro, Pamela Morrison, Paul Dempsey, Danielle Leef, Bob Sullivan, Aubrey Grainger, Helen Giaquinto, Linda Hartman, Scott Hartman, Chuck Seaman, Matthew DiBernardo, Jean Arena, Joseph Giaquinto, Lance Corey, Ann Lombardo, Anthony Lombardo, Dee McMeekan, and Elaine Thompson.

SAA, which is comprised of local professional and amateur artists, typically presents a winter, Memorial Day, Labor Day and fall exhibition at Southampton Cultural Center, as well as a collective members show at the Town Hall in Southampton during December and January, and Art in the Park.
