On Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton will highlight two very special relationships during Two Artists - Two Visions.

The exhibition was curated by longtime friends Arlene Bujese and Fran Castan, and will feature a duo of longtime friends, Anne Sager and the late Lewis Zacks.

"Fran Castan is a fine poet and the widow of Lewis Zacks. While she holds dear to her certain works of Lew's, she is ready to share the rest with the community, and she also favors the proceeds benefiting East End charities," Bujese shared.

"With permission from Anne Sager at an earlier date, and now her family, I have the opportunity to do the same with her body of work," Bujese added. "This is the only way I wish to do selling; the proceeds must be designated for charity, and we are free to select these."

Proceeds from the weekend will champion four East End charities: The Retreat, East End Hospice, East End Special Players, and Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center.

"It is a win-win for us and the community," Bujese reflected. "The sales prices are very affordable, so, it is a great opportunity for the collector as well."

Two Artists - Two Visions will showcase Sager's photographic works, spanning several years and subject matters. Her works have been exhibited in the US, Europe, and China, and can be found in major museums including the National Academy Museum, and the International Center of Photography, NYC. She was celebrated with an award solo exhibition at East Hampton's Guild Hall Museum. Sager is also a published poet.

Zack's pieces are an ode to the East End, with paintings, drawings, etchings, and watercolors often portraying local landscapes. One of his most recognized local works is of the Sag Harbor Movie Theater. He also found inspiration throughout Venice, Italy, Monhegan Island, Maine, and NY City's Lower East Side.

In addition to his artwork, Zacks' resume also included illustrator, filmmaker, ad-man, and partner in an innovative multi-media company.

"Each of these artists have left a fine legacy with their art, and with their involvement in the community," Bujese said. "They were both yearly contributors to the Box Art Benefit for East End Hospice."

An opening reception for Two Artists - Two Visions will take place on Saturday, March 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. The exhibition will be on display from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

"This is a welcome labor of love between Fran and myself. We too have been long time friends," Bujese concluded.
