Southampton Artists Association
's (SAA) annual Labor Day Art Show
will launch on Wednesday, August 29 and remain on display at the Levitas Center for the Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center
through Sunday, September 9.
"We have 40 members taking part of this show and there will be oils, acrylics, mixed media, sculptures and photography," noted Danielle Leef
, a board member. "Most of all the works are for sale including many bin items at reasonable prices."
Over 100 pieces of artwork will be showcased from featured artists that include Barbara Biota, Dennis Bontemps, Bob Brody, Ian Carson, Lance Corey
, Donna Dean, Paul Dempsey, Matt DiBernardo, Imbi Ebrus, Anna Franklin, Helen Giaquinto, Joseph Giaquinto, Donna Howard, Dave Johns, Richard Kane, Bobbie Kennedy, Urs Koehli, David Kornrumpf, Dom Lamontanaro, Denise LeBrun, Danielle Leef, Katherine Liepe-Levinson, Georjana Marcri, Becca Mahan, Henry Mangels, Jim McGarvey, Russell Mercier, Pamela Morrison, Sophie Nadell, Ron Nicoletta, Karin Osti, Paul Padovano, Maryann Renz, Edward Robinson, Kristin Sekora, Stephanie, Sekora-Edmonds, Neva Setlow, Lorne Singh, Frank Sofo

SAA, whose members reside from Southampton and beyond, was established to provide local artists - both professional and amateur - with the opportunity to showcase their works in a gallery setting.

The not for profit organization, which was founded in 1988, offers four annual shows: a Late Winter Show in February/March, Memorial Day Show, Labor Day Show and Fall Show. Members are also given the chance to have their pieces displayed at the Town Hall in Southampton every December and January. Additionally, SAA presents the Art in the Park show (in July) and the SouthamptonFest
exhibition (in October) at Agawam Park

"Our Association is 30 years old and seeks to sponsor and help enhance the cultural of art in the local area," added board member James Slezak
. "Southampton Artists Association serves as a point of contact for individuals with questions about the art activities in our area via our website."
An opening reception for the Labor Day Art Show
will take place on Saturday, September 1 from 4 to 6 p.m., while the closing reception will be held on Friday, September 7 from 4 to 6 pm. Both events are open to the public and admission is free.
