Have you just completed or are nearly finished with your most impressive masterpiece to date? Every year, The Retreat and RJD Gallery in Sag Harbor invite the East End arts community to spotlight their skills during the Hamptons Juried Art Show. And the time has come for local artists to pick their most beloved works and submit them to the two organization’s open call.
“This is an opportunity for artists to realize their projects in an established gallery in Sag Harbor, generously donated by board member Richard Demato, while making a contribution to end the cycle of domestic abuse on the East End,” shared Loretta K. Davis, Executive Director of The Retreat.
The exhibition is open to photography, oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed-media, graphics, drawing, 2D, 3D, and sculpture works and the top pieces will win a prestigious honor. “Entering its 7th year, Hamptons Juried Art Show has welcome hundreds of artists as they compete for a chance at the grand prize; a Top 4 Group Show at the RJD Gallery in Sag Harbor, New York,” shared Eve Gianni Corio, Director of RJD Gallery. “This competition is a unique way for local, national and international artists to support The Retreat, Eastern Long Island’s only domestic violence service agency.”
The deadline for submissions is Monday, February 29th and winners will be announced by Tuesday, March 15th. The Hamptons Juried Art Show will be on view Saturday, May 14th through Tuesday, June 7th. An opening night reception will be held on Saturday, May 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gallery.
The entry fee is $50 per piece and 100 percent of the entry fees support The Retreat.
