“I’ve had animals my entire life and our good friend Jonathan McCann helped me come to the realization that there was an opportunity to utilize the gallery in a special way, bringing in general awareness to the shelter, and provide a new fun category of animal art to the collectors we serve,” noted Richard Demato, Richard J. Demato Fine Arts Gallery owner and philanthropist.
Captured on a variety of mediums, all of our favorite pets including cats, dogs, roosters, rabbits, and pigs, are set to star in Richard J. Demato Fine Arts Gallery’s latest exhibit, “A Magic Menagerie.” The show features a nostalgic pet memory for everyone, with pieces at varied prices. “A Magic Menagerie” was curated from an open call to the local End arts community and will support the East End animal shelter. “This will help raise awareness and financial support for the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation and find homes for their cuddly furry friends and residents,” noted Demato.
“A Magic Menagerie” debuts on Saturday, May 9th and an opening reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit will be on view until Monday, May 25th.
