The American Cancer Society (ACS) hosted the 15th annual Taste of Hope virtual celebration, which commemorated New York City’s iconic restaurant industry and raised critical funds for cancer research and local patient service programs offered by ACS. Chef Michael White (Marea) and Chef Joseph ‘JJ’ Johnson (Fieldtrip) were honored, while Mark D. Friedman and Jamie Koff returned as event co-chairs, and CBS News’ Chris Wragge returned at emcee. The event featured a special performance by Sting, and appearances by Giancarlo Esposito, Mario Cantone, NFL Hall of Famer Harry Carson, Amy Ryan, Peter Onorati, Harry Lennix, Alysia Reiner, and Bobby Cannavale.

Hampton Bays veterans were commemorated during the first Veterans Day car parade at Hampton Bays Elementary School. Wearing red, white and blue and waving American flags, fourth graders lined the school’s traffic circle to celebrate the veterans. The celebratory parade wrapped up a week of learning about the importance of Veterans Day.

The Southampton Artists Association celebrated its annual "Fall Art Exhibit" at the Levitas Center for the Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center during a "Meet The Artists" reception. The varied art show will remain on view through Sunday, November 29.

During the district’s fourth annual ceremony, 12 plaques, each bearing the name of an alumni and the branch of service he or she represents, were added to the Wall of Honor located in Mattituck-Cutchogue Jr./Sr. High School. Guild Hall in East Hampton commemorated All Hallows' Eve with a duo of programming - one spine-chilling and the other family friendly. Liz Joyce & A Couple Of Puppets: Minkie's Halloween Adventure enchanted little ones, while Stage Fright featured four hair-raising tales. "The production, eerily perfect, demonstrated how starved we all are for theatre," said Stage Fright attendee Catherine Gropper.

As always, everything was farm-fresh on Sunday at the East Hampton Farmers Market. Masks and social distancing were the order of the day at the Market's new home in the Reutershan Parking Lot. New regulations allowed shoppers to park for 3 hours.

The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center celebrated the groundbreaking of a long needed and awaited new building during an invitation only ceremony. The little farmhouse on six-acres, built in 1902, was donated to create the Center after a 1949 fire in a migrant camp tragically killed two children. As the number of children the Center welcomes grows, so does the need for a larger site. Attendees included Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr., Olga Elsehany, County Youth Bureau, Legislator Bridget Fleming, Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman, and Southampton Village Mayor Jesse Warren.

Southampton Elementary School students in grades pre-K to 3 learned about fire safety from the Southampton Fire Department. During the visit, the students explored the fire department’s equipment and heard from firefighters about safety protocols and fire safety.

The North Fork TV Festival held their Fifth Annual TV Festival at the Borghese Vineyard. The drive-in event featured screenings of "Freeze" and "Slayed by Divya" - as well as an award ceremony honoring "FBI" star Jeremy Sisto with The Festival’s Canopy Award.

Jean Shafiroff, the National Spokesperson and Ambassador for the American Humane's Feed the Hungry Covid-19 Program, hosted cocktails in Southampton. Both Shafiroff and Robin Ganzert, the CEO and President of the American Humane, spoke about the life changing work of the Feed the Hungry Covid-19 Program which has as its goal to feed 1,000,000 hungry animals at animal shelters across the United States by the end of 2020.
