Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Raises Over $750,000 During "Gala In Your Garden" Summer Party

The Stony Brook Southampton Hospital 62nd annual Summer Party consisted of many intimate mini at home soirees attended by more than 400 supporters, including Joey Wölffer, Donna Karan, Gabby de Felice, Jean Shafiroff, Jim and Hollis Forbes. The micro-galas were linked together through a virtual toast hosted by Robert S. Chaloner, Chief Administrative Officer for SBSH and award-winning actor, Liev Schrieber. Attendees enjoyed meals from local favorites - like caterer Janet O’Brien, Tutto Il Giorno, Calissa, Stone Creek Inn and 75 Main, Wölffer Estate Vineyard wines, Mountaukila tequila, and floral bouquets from Sag Harbor Florists, Kim Jon Designs and Anchor & Bloom Florists.

NAIA Hamptons and Michael Pitsinos presented A Sunday Art Soiree in benefit of the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital at the Capri Hotel in Southampton. Jean Shafiroff hosted the gathering, while Bill McCuddy served as Master of Cermonies. The evening featured artwork by John Mosler, Costas Picadas, Domingo Zapata and Christopher Pugliese.

The Chainsmokers Headline Hamptons "Safe & Sound" Drive-In Concert Fundraiser

JAJA Tequila presented ‘Safe & Sound’, the first drive-in concert fundraiser headlined by Grammy Award Winning duo The Chainsmokers. In partnership with Bumble, thousands of attendees flocked to Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill for the controversial benefit concert for No Kid Hungry, Southampton Fresh Air Home and Children’s Medical Fund of New York that drew ire for the lack of social distancing and volume of attendees. Southampton Village Mayor Jesse Warren emceed the evening while guests enjoyed performances by David Solomon (DJ D-Sol), singer-songwriter Matt White and Southampton Town Supervisor, Jay Schneiderman. Attendees included Cuba Gooding Jr., Danielle Bernstein, Isaac Calpito, Jon Boy, Chantel Jeffries, Andrew Warren, and more. In The Know Experiences and Invisible Noise Productions produced the evening.

Montauk Library Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony For Expansion And Renovation Project

On Friday morning, Montauk Library Director Denise DiPaolo welcomed (properly socially distanced) guests to The Montauk Library Expansion and Renovation Building Project Groundbreaking Ceremony. According to Library Board President Joan Lycke, the event was a celebration of the Library's Trustees, past and present, including one of the originals, John Keeshan, who was in attendance. East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc and NYS Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. expressed their appreciation of the Library and its essential role in the community on its 40th Anniversary. Among the attendees were the project's returning Architect Raymond Beeler (Gallin Beeler Design Studio) and representatives from SCC Construction Management and Patriot Organization Construction Services.

The gathering was held in celebration of van Kempen's new Loaves and Fishes Farm Series Cookbooks.

Animal Rescue Fund Of The Hamptons Holds Pet Food Pantry Pick Up Day

We hear a lot about food pantries for people in need these days, but pets are "people," too. On Saturday, July 11, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) in Wainscott collected donations of pet food for our furry friends. On Saturday, July 18, cars lined up at ARF to collect the donations (socially distanced, of course). Executive Director and CEO Scott Howe was on the front lines with the volunteers, handing out the goodies.

Hope For Depression Research Foundation Kicks Off Virtual Race Of Hope With Drive-by Luncheon

Hope for Depression Research Foundation (HDRF) hosted its first-ever Race of Hope Drive-By Lunch in Southampton to thank top donors and kick off the Virtual Race of Hope which will bring together hundreds of runners across the nation this summer to raise mental health awareness. Traditionally, the Race of Hope takes place in Southampton every summer and has been one of the charity’s signature events since 2015. This year, the Race will go virtual with an online opening ceremony and countdown on August 2, 2020.

With its 16 acre sculpture garden, Jack Lenor Larson's LongHouse Reserve is uniquely positioned for our new social — at a distance — ethos. LongHouse is one of the few cultural spaces in the Hamptons able to open this summer. And they brought in the world famous exhibition of Ai Weiwei's Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads: Bronze, July 8, on view through October 2021. To celebrate, the Reserve threw an outdoor soiree for about 20 friends and donors.
