On Saturday, June 25th, East End Hospice hosted their annual Sail Into Summer Gala at the Sandacres Estate in Quogue. Each year, the not-for-profit corporation holds the benefit to thank the members of the community for their service to the organization and raise money for a great cause. Apart from the fun festivities of the evening, East End Hospice also raised money for Camp Good Grief, an organization that provides counseling for children who have lost loved ones.

Attendees enjoyed cocktails, dinner by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, music by The Times Square Orchestra, dancing, casino games, and an enormous silent auction.
Patricia and Wesley Lowd were the evening's Honorary Chairpersons. Joined by her family, Mrs. Lowd was ecstatic to be at the event as she loves the mission and work done by the organization. When asked why East End Hospice is so important to the community, Lowd replied, "Well, because of the way it helps people. All kinds of people. Everybody."

In addition, the East End Coast Guard received the Good Samaritan Award. Commander Kevin Reed accepted the award on behalf of the Coast Guard. "Much like the Coast Guard, East End Hospice serves to help people. We are truly honored and humbled to be here," said Reed.
Lucas Hunt lit up the stage serving as the Master of Ceremonies. Hunt admitted he works as an MC on the weekend because he loves to give back to the community. "We're raising scholarships. It costs $1,000 for a child to go to Camp Good Grief where they receive counseling, meet with other children who have lost a loved one," explained Hunt. "Parents can come in too. It helps parents and their children learn how to cope with the loss of a loved one, probably someone in their immediate family."

Overall, East End Hospice raised a whopping $300,000. The evening was filled with fun, appreciation, and generosity.
