Last year, the Suffolk Theater re-opened their doors after being closed for over two decades. To celebrate the new era at the historic landmark, the Riverhead Theater is hosting the First Anniversary Gala on March 1. The 1920’s themed event will be “costume optional” and include dinner as well as music from the Grammy-winning Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks. The big band orchestra, which was featured on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” will bring the roaring twenties to life with their jazz era ensembles.
The Theater hosted over a hundred exciting shows throughout the re-opening year, and they are thrilled to celebrate its first anniversary. “This will be a night to remember, commemorating the rebirth of one of the Northeast’s most majestic theaters,” said Dan Binderman, the Suffolk Theater’s General and Artistic Director.
The evening will also include a special Gala Menu and wine selection featuring options from local vineyards. Tickets to the Gala and “Speakeasy After-party” are $45. The after-party will begin at 10 p.m. and general admission is $10.
The Suffolk Theater is located at 118 East Main Street in Riverhead. For more information call 631-727-4343 or visit suffolktheater.com.
