Guild Hall is one of the jewels of the rich and highly diverse cultural identity that is pure Hamptons. Combining art, theatre, music, dance, film and lecture series, Guild Hall not only serves the East End's summer community, it provides year-round programming that is a vital component of the intellectual and artistic lifestyle that indeed makes the Hamptons an island paradise.

Baldwin and Thomas, along with others of the Hamptons A-List like husband/wife theatrical producers Stewart Lane and Bonnie Comley and fellow Broadway producer Roy Furman and his wife Frieda, strolled the Guild Hall gallery taking in the striking pieces in Fischl's new show. The Furman's actually had a Fischl painting from their private collection on loan for the exhibition.

Fellow notables in attendance where, of course, Guild Hall Executive Director Ruth Appelhof and Chariman of the Guild Hall Board of Trustees Mickey Strauss and his wife Leila. Also on hand were performance artist Laurie Anderson, show business legends actress Dina Merrill and producer Ted Hartley, super-model Stephanie Seymour, playwright Jon Robbin Batz and Fischl's wife, well known landscape artist April Gornik, among others.

A post cocktail hour dinner reception was held at a private East Hampton estate honoring philanthropists Estrellita and Daniel Brodsky with comedian and talk-show host Joy Behar serving as Mistress of Ceremonies. DJ Alexandra Richards, daughter of Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards, provided the evening's musical entertainment.

Guild Hall has an impressive lineup scheduled for the summer including the Paul Taylor Dance Company, Audrey Flack and the History of Art String Band with commentary by Dick Cavett, "Celebrity Autobiography" with Scott Adsit, Alec Baldwin, Christie Brinkley, Jerry O'Connell, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, with more celebrities still being scheduled, and other theatrical performances that feature legends like Christine Ebersole, Blythe Danner and Harris Yulin.

Guild Hall has enriched the cultural life of East Enders for 80 years; do not miss the chance to let it enrich yours this summer.
