The gossip mongers were all a twitter, literally Twitter, with news that R&B sensation NE-YO and legendary filmmaker and special effects genius George Lucas would be at the Hamptons home of host Bill Nuti of NCR Corporation this past weekend for the first annual "Fostering A Legacy" presented by Porsche Cars North America gala. NE-YO has been here before, opening for Solange Knowles in 2008 as part of VH1 Save The Music Foundations Summer Series, right before he hit it big. Now George Lucas on the other hand, he's very low-key and rarely makes the papers as a party animal, if ever. We're sure he's been here before, most likely as a guest at the Georgica estate of BFF's Steven Spielberg.

As the glitterati mixed and mingled among the Porsche autos in the garden, we like the bright yellow 911 Carrera Coupe, NE-YO was a gracious host. "Our goal for Compound Foundation is to challenge kids to create, and offer them the knowledge and resources to do so. George Lucas and The Coca-Cola Company have been exemplary leaders in doing just that for many young individuals. This benefit looks to honor them for their contributions," commented NE-YO.

This weekend George, an adoptive parent of three children, was being honored by NE-YO's charity, The Compound Foundation. The foundation provides children in foster care and group homes the tools necessary to be successful entrepreneurs. With Arsenio Hall, winner of the most recent "The Celebrity Apprentice" as decided by host Donald Trump, acting as co-host and Porsche Cars North America and Coca-Cola as presenting sponsors you can be sure the big guns came out to honor this most deserving gent. In the mix for cocktails and private dinner were Jason Kidd of the NY Knicks and his wife Porschla Coleman, Russell Simmons, Monyetta Shaw, Adrienne Bailon, Rosci Diaz, and RaVaughn Brown. We even spotted local architect and Christie Brinkley's ex-hubby Peter Cook in the mix.
