17th Annual Artists Against Abuse Gala Honors Hamptons Artists Dan Rizzie And Joan Hornig

The Retreat celebrated its milestone 25th Anniversary with their Annual Benefit - Artists Against Abuse. The Gala, with more than 250 supporters, was held at the Ross Lower School Fieldhouse. A silent auction was held during the cocktail house with many unique items and gift packages.

This year the Retreat bestowed the Hope Award to jewelry designer and philanthropist Joan Hornig and to Sag Harbor artist Dan Rizzie. There was a live auction with auctioneer Nicholas Lowry where guests were bidding on several original works of art by well-known artists. Special guest Steve Kroft of "60 Minutes" to intorduce Dan Rizzie. All the money that was raised will help women and children in crisis.

The evenings festivities were hosted by WPPB's broadcaster Bonnie Grice.
