12 Things To Make Your Memorial Day Weekend In The Hamptons Memorable

Southampton - From where to shop to where to work out and of course where to party here in the Hamptons the ideas are endless. We pulled together the cream of the crop for you so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy. Happy Memorial Day Weekend and welcome back to the Hamptons!

1. Helmut Lang comes the Hamptons with the debut of their Southampton store (100 Main Street, Southampton, www.helmutlang.com) opening Friday.

2. Bring brightness to every aspect of your Hamptons life by joining C. Wonder (5 Main Street, www.cwonder.com) for the grand opening weekend of their Southampton location. The festivities begin with an Ice Cream Social on Saturday. From 3 to 6 p.m. shop, spin their prize wheel where you can win gifts ranging from flip flops to a free class at Soul Cycle and enjoy free ice cream and lemonade.

3. Banzai Burger (2095 Montauk Hwy, Amagansett, www.banzaiburger.com) will re-open Friday with new menu items including a raw bar, fish tacos, and lobster rolls. They will also be introducing a new cocktail program featuring handcrafted cocktails created exclusively for Banzai Burger from award-winning mixologist John Lermayer. Enjoy cocktails and snacks while enjoying the sunset in their new outdoor lounge. This summer they will also have various DJ's and live bands throughout the summer.

4. Beaumarchais East (44 Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton, www.brasseriebeaumarchais.com) will celebrate its Hamptons grand opening Friday with dinner starting at 7 p.m. and late night dancing. On Saturday and Sunday they will host their "beau brunch" starting at 12 p.m. with music by DJ Jacques Dumas on Saturday and DJ Mitchlj Sunday.

5. Barry's Bootcamp (352 Montauk Highway, East Hampton) brings their no-nonsense, results driven workout to the Hamptons. Opening Memorial Day Weekend get your heart pumping with cardiovascular treadmill exercises intermixed with targeted strength training using weights, bars and bands. 6. Entertainment expert and Super Saturday producer Mark Addison is bringing his expertise to the Hamptons with a satellite office for Eventstyle (631-604-5791, www.eventstyle.com) in East Hampton. This summer have Addison design cocktail bars with special "BeSpoke" cocktails for your events and at your home with his new home entertaining party series "Entertain U".

7. Navy Beach (16 Navy Road, Montauk, www.navybeach.com) kicks off the summer with a sunset photo contest starting Friday. Entries will be accepted through Wednesday, July 4, 2012 and prizes will be awarded to the three best sunset photographs taken from Navy Beach.

8. Head to Gurney's Inn (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk, www.gurneysinn.com) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. for the premiere of highly anticipated docudrama, Montauk Chronicles. The film features the story of Alfred Bielek, Stewart Swerdlow and Preston Nichols, who claim that they were subjected to secret experiments by a dark organization in the 1970s deep beneath the surface of now decommissioned Camp Hero Air Force Base in Montauk.

9. The Fifth Annual Montauk Art Show returns to the Green beginning on Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. More than 10,000 pieces of original hand-crafted artwork by over 80 artists will be for sale.

10. On Saturday bring you family to Cooper's Beach in Southampton for Kites for a Cure from 4 to 6 p.m. Enjoy a day at the beach while raising money for Uniting Against Lung Cancer. For $30 you get a kite to decorate and fly.

11. The Animal Rescue Fund of The Hamptons will host a preview cocktail party at ARF Thrift and Treasure Shop (17 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack) on Saturday, May 26. The shop will be transformed into a stunning Designer Showhouse featuring 10 rooms designed by renowned interior decorators, with all furnishings for sale. The showhouse will be open to the general public with $10 suggested donation and children free on Sunday and Monday.

12. On Sunday stop by the Southampton Antiques Fair (159 Main Street, Southampton) from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Antiques, furniture, jewelry, vintage clothing, glass, ceramics, artwork and a variety of collectables will be for sale.
