It seems hard to believe that it was ten years ago when the world was first introduced to Countess Luann de Lesseps, Bethenny Frankel, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer, Jill Zarin, and Kelly Killoren Bensimon, but on April 4 the ladies of NYC heated up Bravo once again during the premiere of the tenth season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
The latest iteration will feature several of the original stars, including de Lesseps, Singer, and Frankel, with Dorinda Medley, Carole Radziwill, and Tinsley Mortimer returning as well.
On the eve of the season ten launch, de Lesseps, Singer, Medley, Radziwill, and Mortimer gathered at The Seville in New York City for a lavish gathering that toasted to the hit Bravo show’s milestone anniversary.
The cast was joined by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host and RHONY executive producer Andy Cohen, Summer House stars Lauren Wirkus and Lindsay Hubbard, The Fat Jew, Dina Lohan and more. There was one noticeably missing RHONY, Bethenny Frankel, who was out of the country promoting her other Bravo hit, Bethenny and Fredrik.
For some of the cast, this momentous season is surreal. “I’m so amazed that I’m on the show ten years, and the show’s lasted ten years. I mean major sitcoms like “Friends,” Jerry Seinfeld didn’t last that long,” Singer told ENews in an interview. “We are, I have to really take it in, we are pop icons, this show is a pop icon. I’m finally realizing I am a celebrity. This show is shown internationally. We are a water cooler show.”
