The New York Premiere of “The Croods” was held at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square, in New York City on Sunday March 10th. Stars like Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, and Blake Lively hammed it up with “The Croons” character Belt on the red carpet.
The fun 3-D animated adventurous comedy follows the world’s first prehistoric family. The 6-member Crood family is forced to leave their familiar cave because it’s destroyed and travel the world to find a safe new home. While the story follows the family, you watch the characters learn and grow. There is a typical father daughter relationship in the movie, the father named Grug (played by Nicolas Cage) is an over protective, reasonable father who drives his independent and curios daughter named Eep (played by Emma Stone) crazy. Eep than falls in love with Guy (played by Ryan Reynolds), causing their relationship to grow and blossom into a more trusting relationship. Thought their journey, the family explores the beautiful and unknown world, which involves unseen original creators roaming the planet. The graphics in this movie are also breathtaking and endearing. Adults and children will find the movie funny and entertaining and appreciate the high-quality graphics.
The DreamWorks Animation moive directed by Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders is set to be released on March 22, 2013 and can be seen at the Hampton Bays United Artists (119 West Montauk Highway) or Regal East Hampton Cinema (30 Main Street).
