Life@Nite: 2019 East End Oktoberfest Edition

As per usual, the East End Oktoberfest gatherings will kick-off with Rowdy Hall's (10 Main Street in the Parrish Mews, East Hampton, 631-324-8555, rowdyhall.com) annual fête. There will be a traditional Oktoberfest festival on Saturday, September 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. where the East Hampton eatery will be transformed into a traditional German beer garden. Party-goers can enjoy German snacks, such as fresh baked jumbo pretzels and bratwurst with mustard, as well as Oktoberfest beer specials. If you miss the kick-off, you can nosh on Oktoberfest fare nightly at Rowdy through Sunday, October 6.

Bistro 72 at Hotel Indigo (1830 West Main Street, Riverhead, 631-369-3325, bistro-72.com) will host its 3rd annual Ode to Oktoberfest on Sunday, September 29 from 12 to 4 p.m. There will be German Warsteiner beer flowing, music from Smitty's polka band, plenty of German fare, lederhosen, a costume contest with amazing prizes, a traditional keg tapping ceremony, and more.

RSVP Inc Animal Welfare and Rescue is presenting its First Annual Oktoberfest at Knights of Columbus Council 7023 (31 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, www.facebook.com) on Saturday, October 12 from 2 to 7 p.m. Held in support of the animals in need on eastern Long Island, the afternoon will include amazing food, music, raffle baskets, a 50/50, and more.

The Ram's Head Inn (108 South Ram Island Drive, Shelter Island Heights, www.theramsheadinn.com) Oktoberfest 2019 on Sunday, October 13 will include a classic pig roast, live music from Points East Band, seasonal libations, and more. There will also be a raffle to benefit the Island Gift of Life Foundation. The gathering will take place from 1 to 5 p.m., with a buffet from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Baron's Cove (31 West Water Street, Sag Harbor, www.caperesorts.com) is presenting its fourth annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, October 19, from 1 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will feature a myriad of treats like German-style pretzels with beer cheese, pork schnitzel with spaetzel and gravy, and sauerkraut soup, as well as German beers and wines, and live polka and German-inspired music from 2 to 5 p.m. with the Tom & Lisa Band.

Once again, Garden of Eve (4558 Sound Avenue, Riverhead, 631-722-8777, gardenofevefarm.com) will wrap up East End Oktoberfest festivities. Their two-day soiree will take place on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The family friendly gathering will feature live music, vendors, pumpkin picking, hayrides, locally brewed beer, a special Oktoberfest Menu featuring hearty Kielbasa, Kraut, and additional delicious offerings, Fun Fields, a Giant Hay Pyramid, farm animals, Bounce House, Pedal Kart Track, and more.
