Southampton - Lots of celebrations happening in The Hamptons. The holidays are right around the corner and the endless whirlwind of festive events are finally here!

Two lovely ladies, Joan Macri and Terry Sarro, celebrated their birthdays with a bash held at a Southampton estate last Saturday - the theme - The Oscars. With fantastic decorations inspiring all guests to reach for the stars, the food, libations, music and lights made sure everyone donned their finest duds and helped Joan and her fella Paul Anthony celebrate, including artist and our favorite boat captain Geralyne Lewandowski; artist Charles Waller; realtors Bobby Rosenbaum and Paul Babcock, David Morris; artist Linda Alpern; realtor Jackie Worth; Bob Schroeder; Bonita DeWolf; Abigail Cane; Nina Ashurova; Frank Fiordaliso; Lorie Miller, and scores more. Guests hit the dance floor to the great tunes provided by not one - but three - DJ's who kept everyone on their feet movin' and shakin' to the wee hours. Tucked deep in the woods in Southampton the setting was magical with weather warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the two firepits. With delicious catered treats, and many tasty delights brought by guests - everyone walked the red carpet for a wonderful evening - but no autographs please!

The gift of love is priceless. WellNest, an eco-friendly boutique in Sag Harbor, opened its doors to animal lovers on Saturday, November 6, giving puppies, kittens, cats and dogs the chance to be adopted into loving homes. The pet-friendly event was hosted by founder, Richard Ash, M.D., Rachel Paletsky as well as designer, John Bartlett, along with their furry best friends Bear, Huff, Millie and Roxy. North Shore Animal League America, (the world's largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization), set up a mobile unit filled with beautiful, loving animals, allowing guests to walk on to the truck and get a closer look at the animals they want to adopt.

Both Ash and Paletsky were more than happy about the turnout and were glad to see that the animals were getting adopted into loving homes. "I've had dogs my whole life and truly, to rescue dogs where it's such a needed thing, always serves the person that can always love a dog. To leave a dog in a cage and have them suffer or be subject to death is just a shame." Ash further remarked, "I think WellNest is the perfect place to have the event. We've actually had people take some dogs home today." A percentage of the proceeds benefit North Shore Animal League America. Guests were treated to Plain-T, handcrafted teas from around the world. As for their four legged friends, Honest Kitchen showcased their new, first ever all raw, all fish, dehydrated dog food. Together Ash and Paletsky, both dog lovers themselves, are hoping to do another animal friendly event in the future.
