will still welcome a trio of "artistic disruptors" to take part in its annual Visionaries benefit, however the 2020 iteration will be held as a series of small gatherings. The intimate events will highlight the innovators and their success stories.
"Visionaries is an essential series at Guild Hall because it champions creativity, originality and resourcefulness and introduces new ways of thinking about business and the arts," noted Andrea Grover
, Guild Hall Executive Director, who will moderate the first discussion.
This year's conversions will launch with Christina Isaly Liceaga at her Amagansett eatery, Rosie's, on Thursday, November 12. Isaly Liceaga's expertise spans several fields and the evening will cover her career in fashion, sales, Broadway production, and hospitality. The socially distanced conversation and cocktail reception will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Isaly Liceaga, a born and bred New Yorker, studied Industrial Design and History at Carnegie Mellon, where she played for both the soccer and basketball teams. After graduating, she moved to Mexico City, where she taught English and played soccer with the women's national team feeder club. Eventually, she moved back to New York and began her career in fashion. She worked for shoe designer Nancy Geist of ZeitGeist NYC, and later, Ralph Lauren
Isaly Liceaga left the fashion industry to join her family's company, OrbiMed, taking a position in finance. Next, she founded her own real estate development business, Fractal Management, overseeing over 30 NYC properties.
Twelve years ago, Isaly Liceaga and her family moved out to Amagansett. Her deep appreciation for the area led to the opening of Rosie's, a full-service farm-to-table restaurant, in 2019.
Never one to shy away from a new role, Isaly Liceaga served as a producer of Jagged Little Pill
. Her first Broadway production was a tremendous success, earning 15 Tony Award
nominations in 2020.
"Participants engage with next generation leaders and learn about how they are igniting change in their respective fields," Grover added.
The other featured speakers will be announced at a later date. A table for two guests is $300 and capacity is limited.
