The Jewish Center of the Hamptons is presenting A Virtual Evening with Isaac Mizrahi and Friends via Zoom on Sunday, August 9.
“It’s never been as important to support our local shuls, as it is now. Spirituality is a beacon of hope during times of uncertainty,” Mizrahi, Chief Designer of the Isaac Mizrahi brands, said.
From 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Mizrahi will host a series of intimate conversations with several beloved celebrity guests that have ties to the area. Featured interviewees will include Bob Balaban – Academy Award nominated actor, author, producer, comedian and director; Sandra Bernhard, actress, comedian, singer, and author, who is currently starring in the Emmy nominated and Peabody Award winning show, Pose on FX Networks; Andy Cohen, radio producer, writer, television talk show host, and executive producer of Bravo’s late night talk show, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen – which Cohen is currently filming at his home in the Hamptons; and Henry Winkler, Emmy Award winning actor, comedian, director, producer, author and recipient of the Order of the British Empire award (OBE). Tony Award winning theatre producer Daryl Roth will kick the virtual festivities off with an introduction.
“I’m thrilled to be chatting with Andy, Sandra, Henry, and Bob. They are fabulous, creative voices within the community, and it’s all for a good cause,” Mizrahi noted.
In addition to learning a little bit more about the notable names, the week leading up to the big event will also offer the opportunity to bid on a myriad of exciting prizes and experiences from the New York Yankees, East Hampton Golf Club, Candice Bergen’s Bergen Bags, Carissa’s, Elements Fitness, Ever/Body Dermatology, Rockets of Awesome, Cameo, SLT, the American Hotel, The Clubhouse, Red Horse Market, South Fork Country Club, The Bridgehampton Inn, Carbon 38 and more. The fundraiser’s silent auction will open on Monday, July 27 and the winners will be announced live at the culmination of A Virtual Evening with Isaac Mizrahi and Friends. “I don’t think you’ll want to miss this event. We will have music, fantastic guests, and everyone attending will be there to support the Jewish Center of the Hamptons, a bedrock of our community,” Mizrahi added.
Jewish Center of the Hamptons “is a post-denominational synagogue serving as the Jewish spiritual and cultural oasis on the East End of Long Island, in Manhattan, and beyond.”
