A spectacular sea of pink will once again take over "The End" when the beloved annual Girls Night Out, held in support of Lucia's Angels
and the Coalition for Women's Cancers
at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital
, returns to Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa
in Montauk on Friday, November 15.
"Girls Night Out is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year we raised $85,000 and this year with your help we hope to raise more $100,000," Susan Roden, Founder and President, The Coalition for Women's Cancers at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital
Hosted by Jason Galka with DJ Roggie Rog, from 7 to 10 p.m. party-goers are encouraged to don their most show-stopping pink ensemble - as there's a prize on the line for wildest attire.
"Supporting local organizations and charities is part of our DNA at Gurney's
Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa," Michael Nenner, Area General Manager for Gurney's Resorts, shared. "We are honored to once again host Girls Night Out to support Lucia's Angels and the Coalition for Women's Cancers at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital."
As per usual, the Girls Night Out Hamptons gathering will feature the chance to get pampered with a variety of spa services to be offered, including hand massages, chair massages, pink hair extensions, and more.
"The monies raised this year will be split between Lucia's Angels and the Coalition for Women's Cancers at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital," Roden explained.
There will also be complementary wine and cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, silent and chance auctions, raffles, music, and dancing.
While in the past, the evening has included the opportunity to scoop up balloons that contained numbers which coordinated with prizes, GNO is going environmentally friendly this year. Instead "glow guys" - wearing pink bow-ties - will be selling numbered glow bracelets that match amazing items.
Once again, Hampton Jitney
will offer complimentary transportation from four of its stops (Hampton Bays, Southampton, Bridgehampton and East Hampton) to Gurney's. There will also be special room rates at Gurney's for those interested in making it a staycation.
"It's always wonderful to watch the sea of people donned in pink attire - enjoying live music, dancing, pampering spa services and more - all for a good cause," Nenner added.
Admission to Girls Night Out starts at $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Support level tickets are $80, which includes a choice of one treatment and empowerment level tickets are $160, which includes a choice of two treatments, five raffle tickets, and a gift bag.
The Coalition for Women's Cancers at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is dedicated to "early detection and empowerment to bring about better health care and an improved quality of life." The local, volunteer-driven group offers support and assistance to women and their families that have been impacted by breast and gynecological cancers. Lucia's Angels is "committed to helping women and families on Eastern Long Island with late-stage women's cancers including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer and uterine cancer."
"For more information about how our organizations help the women in our local community diagnosed with breast and gyn cancer please visit our websites: www.luciasangels.org
