(SAC) will say goodbye to the 2019 Hamptons summer season by hosting its 6th annual SummerFest celebration on Thursday, August 29.
From 6 to 10 p.m., guests can revel in the last moments of the season as they muse over the spectacular National Geographic
Photo Ark by Joel Sartore exhibition, check out the Studio @SAC, which will feature the celebrated Takeover: Artists in Residence exhibition presented last February-April that will showcase artists Kara Hoblin, Ruby Jackson
and Scott Bluedorn
, and even take part in the process of generating work with the artists, nosh on signature dishes from culinary partners, including Boa Thai, Calissa

This year's fundraiser will celebrate Diane Tuft
, who will be honored with the Champion of the Arts Award for her generous contribution to the arts.

Diane Tuft," says Tom Dunn, SAC Executive Director. "In addition to Diane's work as a world-class nature and landscape photographer, Diane is also a true champion and longtime friend and supporter of Southampton Arts Center. As such, we are pleased to honor her with SAC's Champion of the Arts Award. Appropriately enough, the backdrop for this year's SummerFest is National Geographic's Photo Ark by Joel Sartore, which SAC is presenting in partnership with the International Center of Photography."
Another SAC alumni artist, Cindy Pease Roe of UpSculpt, will highlight her talents by creating the centerpieces utilizing marine plastics found on local shoes.
SummerFest, SAC's premiere annual event, raises nearly half-million dollars each year in support of the Center's world-class exhibitions, as well as the more than 200 programs presented annually, many of which are offered free of charge.
Simone and David Levinson, Annie and Michael Falk, and Erica and Michael Karsch will serve as event chairs, while expected guests include Jill Braufman and Dan Nir, Jane and Peter Marino, Anke and Juergen Friedrich, Lisa Dennison, Diana and Joe DiMenna, Alex Roepers, Jane Holzer, April Gornik
