The time has once again come to "Get Wild" with the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons during the non-profit's annual summer gala on Saturday, June 29.

"It's important for us to recognize the continued efforts of everyone involved with The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center. The commitment to rehabilitate Long Island's wildlife is a shared passion for us all," reflected Director of Development Shelley Berkoski. "We truly thank our Benefit Chairs Linda & Ben Lambert, Jonathan McCann, and Ellen & Chuck Scarborough; hosts Joan and Bernard Carl, plus our committee, and sponsors."

Joan and Bernard Carl will host the soiree at their charming private garden, Little Orchard in Southampton. This year's fête will honor Veterinarians International Founder Scarlett Magda, DVM, and conservationist and author Carl Safina, PHD.

From 5 to 7 p.m. "Get Wild" guests will be treated to live music, cocktails and light fare, a silent auction, and the chance to mingle with some very, very special guests - hawks and owls that were rehabilitated at Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, who now call the Center home.

The Hampton Bays-based Wildlife Rescue Center's mission is "to preserve & protect our region's native wildlife by providing rehabilitation services and education to raise public awareness of the factors that threaten its abundance and diversity." The Center includes a full-time professional wildlife hospital that is staffed by licensed rehabilitators, biologists, animal behaviorists and volunteers. Each year, the Center receives more than 10,000 calls regarding either information about or aid with wild animal encounters.

Admission to Get Wild starts at $175.
