Founded in 1985, the Hampton Bays Beautification Association, a 501(C)3 not for profit, believes that “beauty is a force that makes our community healthier, vibrant and more livable.” The organization has tackled many projects throughout the years, most recently a major endeavor to improve the Hampton Bays Post Office that included removing the overgrown yews along the sidewalk, installing a new sprinkler system, continuing the brick walkway in the center of the lawn all the way to Ponquogue Avenue, edging and weeding and adding a lawn.
Additional projects to beautify the area include planting trees on Good Ground Road, Main Street and Ponquogue Avenue, flagpole area trees and plantings, the “Welcome to Hampton Bays” signs and plantings, the median plantings and lightings on Route 24, installing 180 hanging planters and 24 large urns each year, memorial benches and trees throughout Hampton Bays, all of the Hampton Bays village holiday decorations and many, many more.
Tickets to the Garden Party and Famous Chinese Auction are $50 in advance purchase and $55 at the door. Tickets are available at the Hampton Bays Library and Fandango.
