The Westhampton Beach Volunteer Fire Department is hosting what is bound to be a memorial evening, the Department’s Entertainment Night Fundraiser, on Saturday, February 9.
Local “favorite party band,” Hi Def, will serve as the evening’s main source of amusement.
“The band was named the top entertainment band of Long Island last year,” Tanya Schunk, Entertainment Night committee member, relayed.
Taking place at the Westhampton Beach Volunteer Fire Department from 5:30 to 11 p.m., the evening will also include dinner and more fun. “We’ll be having a buffet meal, beer, wine, water, soda, and dessert,” Schunk noted.
Proceeds from the Entertainment Night Fundraiser will support the Westhampton Beach Fire Department Scholarship Fund and the Suffolk County Firefighters Burn Center Fund at Stony Brook Medicine, which is the sole designated burn care facility for the more than 1.5 million Suffolk County residents. The Center facilitates burn services throughout the area, and also carries out training and research in burn care. Patients have access to a highly specialized burn team, including surgical critical care physicians and nurses, respiratory therapists to plastic surgeons, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.
“This is the first time we’ve had this Entertainment theme,” Schunk said. “For the last two years we had another gentleman who was a comedian/musician – so we wanted to switch it up a little bit.”
Tickets to the Westhampton Beach Volunteer Fire Department’s Entertainment Night Fundraiser are $50 per person or $350 for a table of eight.
