The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS) is hosting its inaugural fundraiser, I ❤ HBTS, on Saturday, February 9.
“HBTS is so excited to host students, families and the community at our 1st annual 1 HEART HBTS Fundraiser!” Sara Jo Strickland, Hampton Ballet Theatre School Director, expressed.
Taking place at the Bridgehampton Community House from 7 to 10 p.m., the festive Valentine’s Day themed soiree will include bites, music, raffles, sips, dancing, auction items and more. Standup comedian and improviser Meghan Strickland and Tim Lampier will host.
Hampton Ballet Theatre School, who is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, champions budding East End ballerinas. The Bridgehampton-based school offers classic ballet classes for dancers from ages three-years-old and older, and presents a trio of yearly productions, which include The Nutcracker, a spring ballet at Guild Hall in East Hampton, and Peter & the Wolf at the Children’s Museum of the East End and the Montauk Playhouse. This year’s spring ballet will be The Littlest Mermaid, Les Sylphides and Mendelara.
“The proceeds from this event will go towards production costs for the 2019 and 2020 Spring Ballets, Nutcracker 2019 and many other production related expenses,” Strickland explained.
Tickets to the I ❤ HBTS benefit are $25 per person and $10 for HBTS dancers. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.
“Please join us in supporting this vibrant classical dance school on the East End,” Strickland added.
Bridgehampton Community House is located at 2357 Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton. For tickets, or more information, visit www.eventbrite.com.
