A Holiday Open House will be held at Mashomack Preserve (79 South Ferry Road, Shelter Island
) on Saturday, December 8 from 2 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will include mulled cider, eggnog, good cheer, of course, nature crafts for kids, and the chance to tour Mashomack's 19th century Victorian mansion, which will be decked out in gorgeous holiday greens.
The 4th Annual Holiday Dinner at Topping Rose House

), in support of Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center
, will take place on Saturday, December 8 at 6:30 pm. The evening will include cocktails in the barn, followed by a sumptuous 3-course meal in the studio helmed by Chef Jean-Georges
himself. Tickets are $200.
The 5th Annual Holiday & Cocktail Fundraiser at The Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum (200 Main Street, Sag Harbor, 631-725-0770 www.sagharborwhalingmuseum.org
) will be held on Saturday, December 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. While the Museum is closed in December, it will reopen for this special evening. Attendees will gather in the splendidly decorated Sage Parlor for drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Admission ranges from $30 to $40.
Southampton History Museum's annual Hearthside Cheer will have a fun twist this year. The Ugly Sweater themed party will be held at the Rogers Mansion

) on Saturday, December 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The evening will include bites, sips - there will be a special hot chocolate bar, music, and a couple of surprises. Tickets range from $35 to $50. And, don't forget to don your most heinous yet creative holiday garment. Additionally, the Museum will host its yearly Senior Holiday Party at the Rogers Mansion on Wednesday, December 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. There is no fee to attend, but advanced registration is required.
