Round up a group of your most clever friends - and make sure they specialize in different expertise - and head down to The Neighborhood House in East Hampton for an evening of quick-witted questions during the East Hampton Rotary Club's Trivia Night fundraiser on Saturday, November 5th.

Paul Johnson, who leads Quiz Night at Townline BBQ in Sagaponack, will officiate the thought-provoking competition and Hugh King, A.K.A. the official town crier of East Hampton, will try to stump attendees with local history trivia.

"I had so much fun hosting the Rotary Club's Trivia Night last year that they didn't even need to ask me this time around," said Johnson. "Besides, how could I possibly say 'no' to an organization that does so much incredible work in our community?"

From 7 to 10 p.m., teams of up to eight will see how much they really know about a variety of random topics, like music or pop culture, when they're challenged with round after round of puzzlers.

"Hopefully, the questions I've prepared for Saturday don't tarnish that reputation," he joked.

Along with a rousing evening of fact checking, the benefit will include a raw bar, pasta buffet, dessert and drinks (wine and beer will be available for purchase and your first drink is included in the price of admission) and a 50/50 raffle.

Admission is $40 per person and proceeds from Trivia Night will support the Rotary Club's efforts within the community. Recent Rotary projects include a new score board for East Hampton High School, donating dictionaries to 4th graders at local schools, adding benches at East End beaches, and providing Montauk with bike racks.

The East Hampton Club is part of Rotary International, whose mission is to "represent all aspects of life in a community, using the experience and connections the members bring to improve conditions, facilities and knowledge for people who can benefit from our support." Since its inception in 1967, the East Hampton Rotary Club has donated more than $600,000 to local organizations.

The Neighborhood House is located at 92 Three Mile Harbor Road in East Hampton. For more information, visit www.easthamptonrotary.com.
