The New York City Mission Society’s annual “Evening in the Hamptons” event will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the East Hampton estate of Ted and Dina Merrill Hartley. The evening is chaired by Secretary of the Board of Directors for the New York City Mission Society, Stanley H. Rumbough, and by 2014 recipient of the Dina Merrill Hartley Public Service Award, Jean Shafiroff.
This year’s event is anticipated to be the best one yet, complete with food, drinks, fireworks and music by Grammy Award-winning musician Arturo O’Farrill and singer Cole Rumbough. Guests will enjoy a wonderful evening while also raising the necessary funds to support the Mission Society’s programs aimed at ending poverty for New York’s children and families.
This event is made possible through the work of the “Evening in the Hamptons” committee, comprised of Peggy and John Bader, Cornelia Bregman, Missy Kilroy, Jay Moorhead and New York City Mission Society President Elsie McCabe Thompson.
