Guild Hall is toasting to artist Robert Motherwell’s time spent in the Hamptons during their annual Summer Gala on Friday August 8, 2014. The soiree starts at 5 p.m. with an exclusive preview of “Robert Motherwell: The East Hampton Years, 1944-1952” at Guild Hall. Cocktails will follow at 7 p.m. and a sit-down, tented dinner will begin at 8 p.m. The evening will finish with an exciting live auction and music by DJ Kiss.
Clifford Ross will serve as Master of Ceremonies at the benefit, which is honoring Dr. Bruce Horten. Worldwide Co-head of Contemporary Art at Phillips, August Uribe, will lead the live auction, which will feature works by Donald Baechler, Lynda Benglis, Thomas Demand, Julian Schnabel, John Waters, and William Wegman.
Tickets begin at $500 and $50 for Young Patron tickets.
