On Saturday, July 19, the South Fork Natural History Museum
is hosting "SoFo Goes Silver" in celebration of the 25th anniversary of its summer event. Susan Rockefeller
, April Gornik
, and Gina Bradley are co-chairing the event, which will be held at the SoFo Museum.
It will begin in the beautiful outdoors and then end underneath the 5,000 square foot tent, with music by DJ Fresh, generously donated by Adam Alpert
of 4 AM DJs. The night will boast an open bar by Amagansett Wines and Spirits
, Wolffer Vineyards, Mezcal Dona Sarita as well as incredible food by Peter Ambrose
"SoFo Goes Silver" is honoring Eric Goode, the founder of the Turtle Conservancy, Area B, Bar and the Bowery Hotel; Michael Gerrard, an Andrew Sabin Professor of Professional practice at Columbia Law School, where he teaches environmental law, climate change law, and energy law. Peter Mathiessen, who passed away in April, is also be honored. Alex Mathiessen, his son, will be accepting his award on behalf of his father, who was a wilderness writer, naturalist, and novelist.
"SoFo Goes Silver" will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Tickets are $275, and junior tickets (for those under 30) are $150.
