On Saturday, July 19, 2014, the LongHouse Reserve is hosting their annual Summer Benefit, WHITE HOT + Blue 2. The event is being held on LongHouse Reserve’s stunning 16-acre East Hampton grounds beginning at 6 p.m.
This benefit celebrates the reserve’s 23rd season, and honors the globally acclaimed photographer, filmmaker and social commentator, Cindy Sherman, with the LongHouse Award, and Agnes Gund, philanthropist, patron, collector, President Emerita of The Museum of Modern Art and founder of Studio in a School, with the LongHouse Art Leadership Award.
“Plan to be immersed in the unexpected at LongHouse,” said LongHouse Reserve President Dianne B. “What we promise is that your spirits will be lifted.” Attire for the evening? Shades of BLUE, WHITE or STRIPES. LongHouse Reserve likes to challenge its gala-goers because they are a main component of the décor. “If it glistens, sparkles and shimmers—well that’s even more fun.”
The evening will feature garden happenings which include cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and honors, and finally, dessert and a music party. The dress code for this event is blue, white or stripes.
For those unable to attend WHITE HOT + Blue 2, but would still like to support the LongHouse Reserve, visit the Silent Auction at paddle8.com. The Auction will run through Saturday, July 19.
LongHouse Reserve is located at 133 Hands Creek Road. For more information, call 631-604-5330.
