lost his battle with lung cancer, he vowed to donate to lung cancer research. On August 14, 2011 his daughter, Jaclyne, will celebrate her parent's wedding anniversary while honoring her father's wish by leading a team in the 6th Annual Strides for Life Run/Walk.
Despite being the leading cause of cancer death worldwide, lung cancer is profoundly underfunded. Strides for Life is one way in which the LCRF raises money to support scientific research to discover better treatments, screening, and prevention of all cancers of the lung.

, first time race participant/team leader, who recently lost her dad to lung cancer, Laurie Carson
, founder and President of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and Southampton native, who lost her brother and uncle to lung cancer, Rosanna Scotto

Anchor - Scotto lost her father-in-law and good friend to lung cancer, Wendy Routh
, longtime race participant and LCRF supporter, who has lost many friends to lung cancer, Tory Burch

The race will take place on Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the starting line at Lake Agawam (The Cultural Center at Pond Lane and Jobs Lane
