Southampton - Wings Over Haiti, Inc. needs help to support the children who attend its school in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. At approximately $1 per day to feed and educate each child, Wings Over Haiti is working to expand its reach into the community to work with as many of the hundreds of children in need as possible. On January 15, Wings Over Haiti will host its first annual benefit to honor children in need both locally and in Haiti. This event will become a reality through the support of local businesses and entertainers, as well as celebrities from around the world. We need your help..

During The Day
Guests will be welcomed by a Caribbean sound celebration from a local DJ as doors will open at 3 p.m. for children and their families. Brief announcements will be made by local middle school students who have been supporting the school operations in Croix-des-Bouquets, followed with performances by local music entertainers Alfredo Merat, Jim Turner, Shanna Polley, Julie Kathryn and Mr. No Shame. In the midst of it all, Maritime Pirates, poi dancers, face painters, hula hooping and more will create a fun atmosphere for all guests.

We will provide space for live artist painting, as well as a gallery for donated paintings for evening live auction. This area will contain a lounge area to sit down and relax as you watch the artists create. There will be food, beverages and raffles for children and families. Wings Over Haiti, Inc. will also promote awareness of local charities such as ARF, The Retreat for Battered Women, and Ladles of Love Food Pantry. There will be a collection for non-perishable food. East Hampton Day Care Center will also be collecting items from their wish list on their website (www.easthamptondaycare.org). Karma Kids of Sag Harbor will be featured. In between speeches and videos, raffle by the kids then ending with Mr. No Shame who will play until the beginning of the second half of the benefit.

The Evening
By 6:30 p.m., local restaurants will begin setting up for food tasting. Doors will reopen by 7:30 p.m. with Mr. No Shame playing red carpet area, and space for media as celebrities and their guests arrive. Opposite this area will be space for pre-paid tickets, raffle sales, and credit card payment accepted. There will also be registration for paddle auction with a viewing space for auction items.

The lounge area will continue from the afternoon portion, with live artists and gallery with donated artwork for the silent auction. By 8:30 p.m., Wings Over Haiti's mission video will be presented by guest speaker, Omarosa, from the hit show "The Apprentice." She will speak and introduce Wings Over Haiti founder and staff. Omarosa will introduce the first band Bastards of Boom, a popular local band. This will be followed by a speech from Shad St.Lewis, Director of Wings Over Haiti. Francois Alexander will perform three songs, at which point the silent auciton will commence. Next, up and coming singer, Alex Young will perform. Finally, the wonderful Melky Jean from Carma Foundation and her 10 band members are to end the night. To top the evening off, we will have the hottest DJ, Big Drop Andrea Shapiro.

An amazing night in the Hamptons. A night to remember.
