On Thursday, August 20th, Bill Clinton stopped by Indian Wells Tavern in Amagansett for dinner with a group of 14. The party included family, friends, staff, and secret service, who kept a close eye on Clinton while at the table next to them.
Bill (who was embracing vacation vibes in a Hawaiian shirt) stuck with vegetarian dishes, dining on corn, spinach and chips, and guacamole, which he paired with an iced tea. Clinton was very polite to those who approached him for a photo throughout the meal, and when patrons learned it was his belated birthday, the entire eatery sang “Happy Birthday,” as dessert was brought out. Bill even took the time to pose for photos with the entire staff of Indian Wells Tavern.
The Clintons are currently in the middle of their two-week Hamptons escape. While the couple will enjoy some downtime, it’s not all fun and games for Hilary, who reportedly planned on attending several Hamptons campaign fundraisers over the weekend, including events at Hilary Leff and Elliot Groffman’s East Hampton home and Tory Burch’s Southampton home.
The former secretary of state is also expected to visit the Midwest to attend a grass-roots organizing party in Cleveland on Thursday, and on Friday, she will address the Democratic National Committee’s summer meeting in Minneapolis, according to The New York Times.
