Margaret Flanagan Appointed To ELIH Board Of Trustees

- Eastern Long Island Hospital announced the appointment of to the Board of Trustees at Eastern Long Island Hospital.
Currently on the Board of the ELIH Auxiliary, Flanagan completes her two-year term as Auxiliary President this spring.
"Margaret's hands on experience with the Auxiliary and community connections are invaluable," states Thomas E. Murray, Jr., Chairman Board of Trustees. "As a local resident, Margaret is in tune with the needs of the North Fork, and can articulate our mission to deliver top-rated quality care with great enthusiasm."
Flanagan holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and education from St. John's University and a Masters in administration from Manhattan College. During her 30 year career as a high school math teacher, Flanagan held positions at Rye High School, Rye, NY, 1980 to 2006, and Cardinal Spellman High School, Bronx, NY, 1973 to 1980. She worked as a volunteer for children with disabilities at Blythedale Hospital before relocating to Southold. Margaret and her husband, Jim, joined the ELIH Auxiliary in 2006.
