The Rotary Club of Southold will present their yearly Scallop Dinner on Monday, November 9.
"The Southold Rotary is sponsoring a Scallop Dinner to be provided by A Touch of Venice restaurant, which is located in Cutchogue," Chris Gallagher, Southold Rotary President, shared. "This has been an annual fall event, but this year, the dinner will be take-out only."
The beloved meal will be available to pick-up from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. "People use Eventbrite to pre-pay for their dinners and to select a pick-up time, which are available in fifteen minute intervals," Gallagher explained.
And don't worry, if you're not fond of seafood, there will be another tasty option. "There is a choice of scallops or chicken parmigiana, and side dishes and a dessert are included," Gallagher shared.
The full dinner - entree, potatoes, vegetable, salad and dessert - costs $40 (gratuities included).
"The proceeds from this event will be used to support local food pantries and CAST. There has been a sharp increase in the use of the food pantries due to the economic recession caused by COVID-19," Gallagher added.
Established in 1948, the Rotary Club of Southold champions both local and international projects, such as "local food distribution for those in need; local youth scholarships; Rotary youth leadership (RYLA); the robotics team; Little League; Boy Scouts; Cub Scouts; Rotary Youth Exchange; Eastern LI Hospital (ELIH); Camp Pa-qua-tuck; national and international disaster relief; Gift of Life; PolioPlus; and many more."
A Touch of Venice is located at 28350 Main Road in Cutchogue. For more information, visit clubrunner.ca or www.eventbrite.com.
