Former Chairman of the Democratic National Committee and Governor of Vermont, Howard Dean, will take part in a riveting, intimate nonpartisan conversation that focuses on the upcoming 2020 elections. The event, presented by
Peconic Landing's
Lifetime Learning Speakers Bureau, will take place at Peconic Landing in Greenport on Thursday, May 16 at 4 p.m.
"We are happy to have Mr. Dean speak at Peconic Landing. His discussions inspire us to participate in conversation with our friends and neighbors," said Robert J. Syron, President, and CEO of Peconic Landing.
Dean served as chairman of the Democratic National Committee between 2005 and 2009. The six term Governor was also the chairman of the National Governors' Association, the Democratic Governors' Association, and the New England Governors' Conference. In 2003, he left office in Vermont to run for President.
"This is a special event for the Lifetime Learning Speakers Bureau, who offers lectures and discussions throughout the year. We thank Mr. Dean for his time and invite our neighbors in the community to attend this public event," Syron added.
Admission to the event is free and the discussion is open to all. Space is limited, so RSVPing in advance is required.
