Oysterponds Historical Society is hosting its 9th Annual Heritage Day on Sunday July 1, from 12 to 3 p.m. The home-grown celebration of local history and culture commences at noon with a parade starting at the Civil War Monument on Village Lane, followed by a reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Old Point Schoolhouse.
