On National Rosé Day (A.K.A. Saturday, June 9), if you really want to embrace the rosé all day mantra, round up your friends and embark on the 3rd Annual North Fork Rosé Crawl
Crawlers can visit the four participating wineries - which include Palmer Vineyards
in Riverhead, Lenz Winery
in Peconic, Corey Creek
in Southold, and Bridge Lane Wine
in Mattituck - home of the rosé keg - yes, you read that right - you can now seriously impress summer partygoers with a keg of rosé, who will be offering a variety of sips and activities that revolve around rosé - think artisan chocolates, frosé, rosé cocktails.
"We're super psyched to organize the crawl again this year, not only because of the continued popularity of rosé but because it's the event's third year and we're seeing more and more excitement from guests each time," expressed Ami Opisso
, General Manager, CS, Lieb Cellars
and Bridge Lane
Wine. "At Bridge Lane, we'll be offering rosé cocktails, live music, a food truck and new this year - a flower crown bar by Fetes de Fleurs Hamptons."
Participants can start the self-guided crawl as early as 10 a.m. - when the first featured winery opens - and continue the tour until the last participating winery closes. In addition to the sip of the day, attendees will also be treated to special rosé-themed treats.
"Rosé is about casual sipping and having fun, and that's the spirit of this event," Opisso added.
Palmer Vineyards will highlight their 2017 Merlot Rosé (notes of watermelon, strawberry, subtle spice and dry finish), Lenz Winery will showcase their 2016 Blanc de Noir Rosé (dry rosé with notes of red and white cherries), Bridge Lane Wine will feature their 2017 Bridge Lane Rosé (bright, light and fresh with notes of peach and cantaloupe), and Corey Creek will highlight the 2017 Bedell Cellars
Taste Rosé (dry rose with guava and young fruit notes).
Admission is $20 per person, which includes a tasting at each winery and a few extraordinary surprises along the way.
