Due to inclement weather predicted for this weekend, Peconic Landing's End of Summer Celebration and fireworks show has been rescheduled for October 9th at 6 p.m. with a rain date of October 10th.

With Labor Day right around the corner, the Peconic Landing is getting ready to host their 5th Annual End of Summer Celebration fireworks show on Sunday, September 4th.

The night of fun, which is free and attracts roughly 700 guests each year, will kick off with a live performance at 7 p.m. by the forty-member Atlantic Wind Symphony - a group that is made up of musicians from all across Long Island. The performance will take place on the patio of Brecknock Hall in Greenport, where guests will be invited to enjoy popular songs by great musicians such as George Gershwin, John Philip Sousa, and other well-known Broadway hits. The Brecknock Hall Foundation will sponsor the performance, promoting its mission of maintaining the beautification and preservation of the historic mansion.

The end of summer fireworks show will follow the concert, blasting off at 8:15 p.m. There will also be a salute to Veterans, active service members, police officers, and volunteer fire officials.

The fireworks will be launched over Peconic Landing's community pond, and guests are invited to bring a blanket and chairs to make the most of the event. The 20-minute show will be sponsored by Peconic Landing.

"This event is our way of saying thank you to the North Fork community for its support throughout the year," explained Robert J. Syron, President and CEO of Peconic Landing. "Bring your families, bring your loved ones and join us for what is always an incredible fireworks show."

Due to inclement weather predicted for this weekend, Peconic Landing's End of Summer Celebration and fireworks show has been rescheduled for October 9th at 6 p.m. with a rain date of October 10th.
