On Sunday, September 20th, Kent Animal Shelter is holding their 2015 Wines & Canines Run/Walk at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard. Participants can take pride in the fact that they've helped save animals in need, as they take in the scenic vineyard views during peak
harvest season. The event will also include auction prizes, raffles, dogs on leashes, dogs in costumes, adoptable pets, wine and food sales, Kent's traveling pet boutique, live afternoon music and much more.
The entry fee is a minimum donation of $30 per person, and free for children 12 and under. Registration will take place at 10 a.m., and walkers and runners may start the course anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
"We've saved many, many beautiful animals this year with rescues, adoptions, low cost spay/neuter and vaccinations," noted Green. "We look forward to enjoying the day with everyone."
The Calverton-based animal shelter is a 501C3 organization that provides a no-kill haven for homeless animals, adoption services, a spay/neuter clinic, and humane education.
Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard is located at 2114 Sound Avenue in Baiting Hollow. For more information, call 631-727-5731 or visit www.kentanimalshelter.com.
