On Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th, Hallockville Museum Farm is holding its 35th annual Fall Festival and Craft Show. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the North Fork tradition will feature local goods and eats, demonstrations, activities for all ages, historic tours, and other family friendly happenings.

The holiday season may seem ages away, but realistically, it'll be here before we know it. If you're one of those shoppers that completes their gift list months before, stock up on unique finds from over 50 craft and artisan vendors, who will offer handmade items like jewelry, woodcrafts, locally-inspired art and fine decor, homemade jams and jellies, hand sewn and hand knit pieces, candles, bath and body care products, yarn and crafting supplies and much more.

Attendees can learn about a new craft during rug hooking, basketweaving, quilting, woodcarving, decoy carving, and woodworking demonstrations and displays. Handmade quilts created by the Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild will be on display during a show at the Naugles Barn, and the LI Antique Power Association is presenting a Tractor Pull and Show.

The Fair will also include an Heirloom Vegetable Expo with exhibits and presentations from local growers and organizations, live music by Eastbound Freight Bluegrass Band, children's activities and games, guided museum tours of the 1765 Homestead, 1931 Cichanowicz Farmhouse and Homestead Barn, a livestock and farm animals display with goats, horses, donkeys, cows and more, Long Island-based food and beverage vendors, and a 250th anniversary special exhibit and historic transportation exhibit.

Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children ages 4 and under.

Hallockville Museum Farm is located at 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead. For more information, call 631-298-5292 or visit www.hallockville.com.
