Hampton Coffee Company
, Long Island's largest independent roaster-retailer, opened its fourth espresso bar & café in Aquebogue on Sunday, January 17th. To celebrate the new North Fork location, Hampton Coffee
hosted a "Super Secret Preview Opening" for its fans a day prior to the official Grand Opening.
"The new Aquebogue espresso bar and café is our first location outside of The Hamptons and our first on the North Fork," said Hampton Coffee Company co-owner Jason Belkin. "We are so excited to be opening here, our fans have been asking us for years to come to the other East End fork."
During the special event, guests were treated like VIPs, offered complimentary coffee or espresso bar beverages throughout the day and also had the chance to win prizes. "We are a local community business and it's our 22nd year here on the East End," added company co-owner Theresa Belkin, who is also managing the Aquebogue location. "We owe our success to our loyal Fans who support us day-in and day-out, so we came up with this Secret Preview Opening Event as a way to show our Fans how much they mean to us all while supporting our community by raising money for a local charity." With the preview being such a hit with customers, Hampton Coffee Company plans to continue the fan appreciation sneak peaks with future store openings.
The "Super Secret Preview Opening" also served as a way for Hampton Coffee Company to give back to the local community. Admission to the event was complimentary, but attendees had the opportunity to make a contribution of any size to a special donation jar. By the time the event had concluded, guests had helped raise over $1,300, which Hampton Coffee donated to HUGS, a not-for-profit community-based youth organization that provides educational and recreational programs for middle and high school youth on the East End.
For the new location, Hampton Coffee repurposed and preserved an abandoned 1940s-era garage/service station, which coincidentally was recommended to them by HUGS Director and Hampton Coffee aficionado Kym Laube. Renovations included turning the venue into a Green Café with LED lighting, Energy Star equipment, a permeable parking lot material, and full local single-stream recycling of Hampton Coffee's waste.
All of the Hampton Coffee favorites will be available at the North Fork Café, and the outpost will also have its own signature coffee blend, Organic North Fork Blend.
