Take a behind the scenes look at local farms and artisans and meet the people that make up the North Fork foodie scene during the 9th Annual North Fork Foodie Tour, presented by the North Fork Reform Synagogue, on Sunday, September 20th.
From l0 a.m. to 4 p.m., attendees will partake in a self-guided exploration of the best that the North Fork has to offer, as they learn about each participant's methods of sustainable agriculture. This year's Food Tour includes more than 18 locations plus lectures at Charnews Farm.

Talks and demonstrations will feature Chef John Ross, Suffolk Times columnist and author of The Food & Wine of the North Fork,
who will cook up a dish for attendees to taste; Chef Deborah Pittorino of Cuvee Seafood & Grille, who will demonstrate cooking with herbs grown from a pot on your windowsill or deck; Peter Clark of Clarke's Garden in Greenport, who will discuss growing herbs and their uses; James Beard
Award-winning Chef Peter Berley, who will talk about the secrets of sourdough and its benefits for taste and health; and Dan Heston of Peconic Land Trust
, who will speak about nurturing new young farms to preserve agriculture.
